Find That Pod # 152

6 Great New Podcasts

Welcome to the 152nd edition of Find That Pod.

I know there’s a lot going on right now. My only advice right now is that you try to take some solace in the things and people you love.

Time and time again, I’ve personally found some measure of solace in the people and podcasts I consider to be my favourites.

At a minimum, they serve as a welcome distraction. At best they can serve as a welcome friend in your ear.

The relationship between listener and podcaster is a funny one. It’s entirely asymmetrical in the sense that the listener often begins to feel a kinship, almost friendship towards the podcast host(s), while the host is only aware of the listener in a vague, anonymous, faceless sense.

In any case, stay strong everyone, I know it’s hard. Let’s listen to some podcasts and get through it together.

Once again, I’ll mention that we’ve got FEATURED PODCAST ad and Leaderboard ad openings for the coming weeks:

March 11th – 1 spot open
March 18th – 1 spot open
March 25th – 2 spots open

Leaderboard ad spots are also wide open right now.

You can book an ad here starting at $50.

Here are this week’s recommendations:

Tech vs Media

Featuring C-Level guests, this brand new podcast, featuring just four episodes thus far, is off to a strong start. Hosted by Richard Wolpert, a 35-year veteran of working in the technology and media fields, the show shares the amazing lessons learned on past, present, and predictions of the future of media and technology, and of how these two categories have and will continue to converge or clash. Give it a listen!

Good S*x

Everyone deserves great s*x, but let’s be real… not everyone is having great (errr, even good) s*x. Each week, you’ll hear two people ask each other questions that will spark an honest conversation about why they aren’t having good s*x in the hopes that they can learn new things and put the “good” back in good s*x.

It’s Super Effective: A Weekly Pokémon Podcast

Recently, my child has become completely subsumed into the world of Pokemon. Trying to be a good dad, I’m trying to understand this world of collectible trading cards and the entire ecosystem around it a bit better. What better way to do that than through a podcast?

It’s Super Effective is a weekly Pokémon podcast that covers news and information on Pokémon GO, the Pokémon anime, and the video games (such as Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield, as well as, Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee). The podcast also talks about battling, Shiny Hunting, the Pokémon TCG, Pokémon merchandise and more!
