Find That Pod # 156

6 Great New Podcasts

Welcome to the 156th edition of Find That Pod.

Today marks the 3 year anniversary of this newsletter. It’s honestly a bit of a wonder that I’ve managed to put this thing out every week for 3 years.

A lot has happened in that time, but my desire for providing high-quality podcast recommendations is as high as ever.

Thanks to everyone that has been along for the journey so far and as always, welcome new subscribers!

Here are this week’s recommendations:

Solar

Talk about bringing some serious star power. This sci-fi podcast brings Stephanie Beatriz (now of Encanto fame), Tony Award winner Alan Cumming, Academy Award winner Helen Hunt and Jonathan Bangs in a journey to the heart of the solar system and an exploration of the vastness of the human spirit.

Disconnected from Earth and trapped on separate parts of their spacecraft, crew members must fight for survival following a disaster on board the ill-fated Aethon, a manned solar research probe sent to explore temporal distortion around the sun. As painful memories, forgotten dreams, technological challenges and blunt realities collide–they must work together to keep their hope alive in the face of growing darkness.

A truly awesome new sci-fi podcast to dig your teeth in that has just launched!

You Didn’t Ask for This

Is cereal just soup? When, specifically, is Miller Time? How many times can one “circle back?” Join Matt and Eric every other Thursday as they provide you with deep dives, thorough debates, and unnecessary answers to life’s least-pressing questions. This is a podcast that on its face seems a touch absurd. It’s kind of all-over-the-place, but like I’ve said many times before, sometimes it’s the simple chemistry between the hosts that makes the show work. Such is the case for the You Didn’t Ask for This podcast.

Drinking From the Toilet: Real Dogs, Real Training

A behind-the-scenes look into the reality of dog training, behaviour, teaching, and learning. They love their dogs, and they love their jobs, but sometimes it’s not all unicorns and rainbows. Sometimes at the end of the day, you just need a drink and a friend who gets it. A fun and interesting podcast for anyone with a dog.
