Five Great New Podcasts
Welcome to the 39th edition of Find That Pod.
Hopefully, everyone had a wonderful holiday season, and now that you’ve indulged, opened your gifts and endured or enjoyed family and friends, it’s time for some new podcasts to listen to. Here are this week’s picks:
3 Hours Later…
Not sure if that latest video game, board game, TV show, book, or comic-book series is worth sinking your precious time into? Then check out this podcast by three friends who accept a new challenge each week of trying something new for at least 3 hours and then debating whether it’s worth your time. A highly entertaining show, I hope they keep it up in 2020.
Alien artifact? Top-secret government weapon, simple piece of industrial machinery? Or a complete hoax? Make up your own mind when you listen to this 6-episode podcast about a mysterious metal sphere that was discovered on a family’s property in Jacksonville, Florida in 1974.
If you’re either an amateur or professional photographer, you’ve probably heard of Photofocus before. It’s one of the most prominent photography focused websites on the web and now they have a more or less weekly accompanying podcast that serves as a great supplement to their excellent website. Photographer friends, give it a listen!
The Real Story
If you’re looking for a distinctly non-North American show to give you a bit of a different perspective on global news and affairs, you could do a lot worse than the BBC’s The Real Story. They bring in global experts and decision-makers to discuss and debate a current news topic of interest.
Minor Adventures with Topher Grace
You remember Topher don’t you? He was Eric in that 70’s Show. Now he’s taking on the podcasting world with this comedy podcast in which he brings on a wide variety of celebrity guests to, for lack of a better term, shoot the shit with.
