Find That Pod # 58

Five Great New Podcasts

Welcome to the 58th edition of Find That Pod!

Before we get to this week’s podcasts, I want to tell you about something pretty rad I’ve been working on. The official FIND THAT POD Rewards Program has launched!

WHAT IS IT?
It’s a way for you to share a unique link with your friends and if they subscribe to the newsletter, you’ll get a reward! The more people that subscribe through your unique link, the more rewards you’ll get.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Just copy and paste your unique referral link and share it on the web, by email, messaging platform, or social media: <<RH_REFLINK>>

You can also just click on the SHARE button below which will take you to the referral hub page with a variety of sharing tools you can use.

WHAT ARE THE REWARDS?
Various rewards unlock at different tiers based on the number of subscribers you’ve referred to.

1 Referred Subscriber = One Extra Monthly Find That Pod newsletter.

5 Referred Subscribers = Find That Pod stickers (they’re awesome, trust me)

10 Referred Subscribers = Find That Pod Fridge Magnet

25 Referred Subscribers = Find That Pod Coffee Mug (monkey logo only)

50 Referred Subscribers = Podcast Feature – This one is for all of you podcast producers. Reach this tier and I’ll listen and include your podcast in the newsletter.

As always, stay strong, stay safe and stay home if you can.

Here are this week’s podcasts:

The One You Feed

Aside from some really terrific podcast art what I love about this show is that it uses the parable of the two wolves that represent the constant conflict within us as a means of framing various conversations. It’s a jumping-off point that leads to discussions of how to live one’s life in a skillful, and meaningful way amidst the various challenges that are thrown at us. As we are all living through perhaps what will be one of the more difficult periods, host Eric Zimmer talks with scientists, authors, researchers, psychologists and other professionals. A truly wonderful podcast I’d recommend to almost anyone.

Marketing Scoop

If you’re even remotely involved in the marketing world, especially digital marketing, you’ll have heard of this little company called SEMRush. They produce some of the finest digital marketing campaign software around. They also happen to have a really great podcast that is a must-listen for everyone that’s hawking anything online. Including podcasts!

How I Survived

When I was but a mere youngin’ one of my favourite books was a compilation of survival stories. One such story featured a woman falling out of an airplane at over 30,000 feet, with no parachute and somehow surviving the fall. For some reason, it stuck with me and my love of these kinds of stories has not abated in the decades since. That is the basic concept behind this terrific podcast that features first-hand accounts from people who have faced near-certain death and have somehow managed to live to tell the tale.

PODCAST-19

There’s obviously now an abundance of podcasts dedicated to the discussion of this insane plague we’re all living through. Unfortunately, many of them don’t take a properly rigorous approach as far as looking at the statistics from the point of view of those educated on how to interpret larger data sets. Thankfully the guys and gals from FiveThirtyEight have ridden in on their podcasting calvary to save us all from any discussions of COVID-19 that are not evidence-based.

Warrior Kid Podcast

Brought to you by one of the more well-known retired Navy Seals, Jocko Willink, the Warrior Kid Podcast is a show dedicated to dispensing valuable advice on how to raise tough, resilient, thoughtful and disciplined offspring. It’s a great listen for both parents and kids.
