Anyone else still waiting for their online shopping packages to arrive? Yeah, me too. It looks like the shipping companies are having a hell of a time keeping up this year.

Here are this week’s podcast recommendations:
There is still, a surprisingly robust world of watch and timepiece enthusiasts that gather around one of the most well-known websites dedicated to the world of horology. That website is called Hodinkee. And while the website has grown and evolved over the past few years, part of the company’s evolution has been to get into audio podcasts. While admittedly niche, if you’re a watch collector or even have a passing interest in horology, check out this show.
Two friends and colleagues get together to bring their considerable experience to talk technology in an unfiltered and unscripted discussion on the latest in technology, and its impact on society. If you want the unvarnished take on what’s really happening with the world of technology, you would be wise to take up this podcast.
You ever get the feeling that not everyone is playing by the same rules? That much has become obvious of our modern society. Corruption, ill will, greed, and plain old bad faith. That’s what rules much of politics these days. Join two politicos that are tired and pissed off of playing by the old rules for this informative and entertaining political show.
Big Picture Science
Bill Gates & Rashida Jones ask Big Questions
As time has gone on, my admiration of Bill Gates has only grown. Sure he’s a mega-wealthy technologist who did some questionable things in business, but at least he’s taken his wealth and done a lot of good things for the world. I’m also a fan of Rashida Jones who I first discovered as a quirky and talented actor playing the character of Karen on the American version of The Office.
Together, these two have struck a friendship and started a great podcast in which they’re asking some big questions and bringing on experts to help them analyze and sort through these questions.
