In March 2022, I discovered the NPR All Songs Considered podcast and have become a regular listener since then. The podcast features in-depth discussions and reviews of new and noteworthy music that, perhaps through no other fault other than my own laziness, I otherwise would have never discovered. The podcast also features interviews with musicians and industry professionals for those of you wanting a deeper look at up-and-coming musicians and the music industry more broadly.
The Structure
Each episode is thoughtfully curated and provides a diverse range of genres and styles, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy. One of the aspects I appreciate most about the podcast is the knowledgeable and passionate hosts, Bob Boilen and Robin Hilton. They bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table, and their enthusiasm for music is infectious. After listening to an episode, I always learn something new and gain a deeper appreciation for the artists and their work.

It’s a great way to experience the music in a different context and really appreciate the artistry behind it. The production quality of the show is top-notch, and the music always sounds fantastic.
